Clutch Svelte Top 10 worldwide
this is about us reaching our new heights and why Svelte is cool
Honesty is a key.
And we love being honest with you.
Thus, honestly, our CTO is a total nerd.
That's our demure way of telling you about our small win of becoming in the Top-10 list of Svelte developers worldwide due to Clutch!
Big news for us, and awesome news for our dear clients. Stay with us, you will totally understand why that’s awesome news even for you, dear clients and partners!
Back to Svelte.
We’ve been the React (Next.js) team for the past several years. Yet, as we believe in development being a constant phenomenon, we sure never stopped thinking about what is better out there? For performance, for coding, for optimization, everything. And that’s how we believed in Svelte, and SvelteKit, and it definitely met our expectations.
Svelte team said: “SvelteKit is a framework for rapidly developing robust, performant web applications…”.
Back to 2016, Svelte already gained and gathered all the experience of the previous libraries and frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt.js & Angular. They analyzed, optimized, and it works great for now.
Learning and Coding
You certainly wondered how did our engineers reacted to our idea of trying a new framework.
They were thrilled about the idea to spend another countless days learning something new, when the projects are waiting to be coded!!
Yeah, no, definitely not like that… But, actually even better!
The truth is that it turned out SvelteKit is easy to be learned, if you’ve already had experience with JavaScript (or even better TypeScript) before. Sure you do.
Thus, a few days of education and here we are — the engineers ready to code on the whole new framework. Better performance, awesome coding experience, less code generally, and better performance for clients' web apps after all.
This is not just about us spending another day playing smartasses, but it’s also about optimizing our customers' projects. Svelte's simplicity and efficiency can lead to faster development times, reducing overall project costs. We make it faster, better, higher-performative, and cost-effective.
Additionally, Svelte's clean code and efficient updates can make long-term maintenance more cost-effective, as fewer performance issues and bugs may arise.
More donuts
We, in Zapal, drive the culture of open source. (we’ll share about it later on, too). Guess what? Svelte is also an open source project.
Moreover, Svelte is optimized to the maximum extent possible comparing to React and Vue.
And one more, as a wise man on Reddit said:
Btw, you as our client also benefit from Svelte not just with the cost-optimization, but with the generally better user-experience. Faster loading times and smoother user experiences lead to higher user engagement and satisfaction with your app, web, etc.
While, Svelte is a relatively new framework, it has a strong community and active development, making it a future-proof choice for web applications.
Thus, using this, you’re already a few steps ahead of the game!
As for UI, Svelte is also on top, as it got a built-in animation system. Which for us means, it’s easy to use and to be integrated, allowing you to have smoother animations, while us not using additional libraries.
Why moving from next to svelte kit?
In the contrast to Svelte — Next.js is getting closer and closer to being tied to their company, Vercel and its SaaS platform. Which creates fewer and fewer opportunities for it to be used with other providers, locking in the services of Vercel only. Becoming second Apple monopoly story.
Are monopoly vibes good or bad? You choose. Yet, you already know what we think about it.
Closing!
We’ve already implemented SvelteKit in several of our projects, and JEES those web pages open in milliseconds!
Even our team was shocked!
(and, just for you, our new Zapal website is also being developed on SvelteKit! TOP SECRET)
To sum up, Svelte is optimized, maximized and not monopolized.
Generally, Svelte is independent of any one big monopoly company. Thus, it is as reliable and independent as much as possible. Where are the money from? The community of Svelte is strong af, and their development lives on donations from sponsors.
Over the past years, Svelte has already managed to demonstrate itself as a promising, reliable, and user-friendly framework, and we believe more to come!
Stay tuned for our new posts or just text our CEO what do you think about this.
